Sticky How to connect (realmlist setup)

Quick connection guide for the WoW Legends demo realm (PTR).

Connect in four steps

1. Register an account on this site.
2. Get a WoW 3.3.5a (build 12340) client. The download link is in step 2 on the home page.
3. Set the realmlist to ptr.wow-legends.eu in both of these files:
   • WTF\Config.wtf: SET realmlist ptr.wow-legends.eu
   • Data\<your language>\realmlist.wtf, for example Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf: set realmlist ptr.wow-legends.eu
4. Start Wow.exe and log in with your account name (not your email) and your password.

Still can't log in?

• Start Wow.exe directly. Some launchers overwrite the realmlist.
• Delete the Cache folder and try again.
• Check that your network can reach the server. In PowerShell, run Test-NetConnection ptr.wow-legends.eu -Port 3724. If it shows TcpTestSucceeded : False, the connection is blocked before it reaches us.
• Still stuck? Open a support ticket.

Your account here only works on this site and the demo realm. Your wow-legends.eu account is a separate login.

Sorry for the slow answer, and thanks for asking. The first post in this thread had a placeholder address. It's fixed now.

@MICHAELD @IRONMONK the realmlist for the public demo realm is ptr.wow-legends.eu. Set it in both WTF\Config.wtf and Data\<your language>\realmlist.wtf, start Wow.exe directly, and log in with the account name you registered on this site.

@GETHDAR this site doesn't host the game client. You need a WoW 3.3.5a (build 12340) client, and the download link is in step 2 on the home page.

Note that this is a demo realm, not a live private server. To play on your own server, get the free repack at wow-legends.eu.
